The Canadian Draft Horse Futurity (CDHF) is hosted in the arena at the Ancaster Fairgrounds. Competitors need to inform CDHF that you are returning to compete and register your 2 year old using the 2026 Consignment form.
STEP 1: Email CDHF at [email protected] and let the committee know that you will be returning to compete and if you would like to sell your 2 year old in the auction.

The Futurity pot has grown to just over $47,000. The prize money will be distributed as follows:
1st Place = 20%
2nd Place = 17%
3rd Place = 14%
4th Place = 12%
5th Place = 10%
6th Place = 7%
7th Place = 5%
8th Place = 3%
9th Place = 3%
10th Place = 2%
11th Place = 2%
12th Place - 2%
13th Place = 1%
14th Place = 1%
15th Place = 1%
16th Place and all other placings will receive $200.00 each.

There will be an exhibitor meeting on Friday morning before the competiton begins. We will provide you with the time and location of that meeting when you arrive at the Ancaster Fairgrounds.

CONSIGNMENTS
The Canadian Draft Horse Futurity will host an auction on Saturday following the results and presentations from the 2026 Futurity competition. You may consign your 2 year old to this auction sale. The sale will begin with the 2 year old competitors and then we will sell the 2026 foals that will be eligible for the 2028 Futurity competition.
Step 1: Please open and complete the following consignment form for any 2 year old or foal that you wish to enter in the auction. 1 form per each consignment. Please email consignment forms to: [email protected]
